Newport, Where I Live

Our topic for the Autumn term is 'Newport, Where I Live' where we will be taking the children's ideas and learning all about the city we live in. 

We will be learning about the Chartists and the Newport Uprising as well as learning more about Newport Castle. Through our literacy lessons, we will be writing news reports, presenting speeches and using Newport as a setting for a story. In maths, we will be focusing on place value and the four operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) in different contexts.
