Year 6 - Miss Jenkins

Croeso i dosbarth 6J

Croeso! Welcome to the class page for 6J.

After what has been a challenging few years for us all, I am full of optimism that this year is going to be great.

For those of you that may not be familiar with me, I first started working in Crindau in 2016 and have been lucky enough to be a class teacher in Year 3, Year 1/2 and Year 4. I have also previously taught Year 6 in another primary school in Newport.

Over the next school year, we will be exploring a range of topics, developing our skills and preparing for Year 7 and life beyond primary school. As Year 6, the children will also have additional exciting opportunities such as a residential trip and performing in the Riverfront.

I am really looking forward to getting to know all of the children this year, it has been great to have lots of familiar faces back in my classroom.

General Information

Class Dojo

In class, your children are given the opportunity to earn class dojos as a result of good behaviour, readiness to learn and helping others among other things. These are totalled at the end of each week resulting in one Dojo champion who receives a certificate. These dojos are also added up weekly and can be used to earn individual and class rewards. These rewards have been decided as a class and are displayed in the classroom, ask your children about what rewards they have earned

P.E

The P.E. day for 6J is Wednesday. It is vital that your child has their P.E. kit in school for this day so that they can fully participate in the lessons. A reminder that P.E. kit is a plain white t-shirt, black joggers/shorts/leggings and trainers/daps.
